Song for the Sabra
This song cycle is a gift to my previously-unborn, now-louder nephew, Chayim Natan Yisrael. He was born on 4/21/2010. Hineh is a birthing blessing and aid; the rest are pedagogical. My mother always said play is a child's work; I propose that child's work is like a play [(i.e. this one)].

Finally the official SOFT OUTFIT release party. Many bands as one can see. Come see all the different album covers Mark Taylor made--the last time they'll be one place.

Soft Outfit!

My new 7 song album, SOFT OUTFIT, is now available for free download! It features some new tunes as well as fresh variations on some older songs. You can also order a CD. I made 50 of them. Each one has a unique cover made by the radical and prolific Mark Inglis Taylor. Thanks to Golden Gram for mastering.
All of my music is currently available for streaming, downloading, and ordering at markedeutsch.bandcamp.com
I will be announcing info on a record release show soon.
In other news, World's Best Dad (my band with Ryan the Truck, Bevan Herbekian, and Dave Bartels) is practicing again and we will be playing the CD release for "our last bastion of home," a compilation of a load of East Bay musicians recorded by Davyd Nereo. I have a song on it. It was a fun and relaxed session, a really cool project. Here is an article about the comp and the first of three CD releases (which happened last night). Our show is:
Friday, February 19th
World's Best Dad
Roberto Miguel
The Jen Weisberg Experience
Pine
Belly of the Whale
free 8pm
the Uptown in Oakland
1928 Telegraph Ave.
Also, Softshells (my other super-group feat. Brain Tester, Eli Reitz, and Rene Carranza) is recording our first record!
Busy but not too busy. Happy despite the doomsday gloom-sayers. Enjoy my new album!
